BECAUSE SHE IS ALLERGIC TO HER OWN GOD DAMN TEETH!!okay, technically that isn't true. apparently she has lymphocytic-plasmacytic gingivitis stomatitis (LPGS), which means she is allergic to her own plaque.
since you can't really have teeth without plaque, it's basically the same thing in my eyes.
at least now we know why she smells so bad.

if cats' gums are as hard as teeth, what do they need teeth for?
why do any of us need teeth? wouldn't you think that we would have evolved into having just two giant teeth that wrap around the whole jaw where all the individual teeth are on the current model? one on the top one on the bottom? No flossing. Much easier brushing. Or how about a pez dispenser type model? where a new tooth popped up every time an old one rotted out. or no teeth. like the cat gum model.
